Afghanistan is amongst the poorest countries in the world. In Afghanistan, poverty is widespread in rural and urban areas. According to the Afghan government’s estimates, 42 percent of the Afghanistan’s total population lives below the poverty line with this number increasing daily.
There are more than 2,5 Million widows and close to 2 Million orphans who are left vulnerable and not knowing where their next meal is coming from. In Afghanistan, poverty is widespread in rural and urban areas.
