Breaking News: The Fire breaks out in the Al Yasmine Syrian Refugee Camp in Lebanon leaving destruction and many without shelter. Children who attend the Aman School of Excellence have been affected by the fire and have lost all their belongings.
Africa Muslims Agency is grateful to have been approached by the South African National Muslim Women’s Forum regarding fundraising for the Yasmine Camp in Lebanon.
The SANMWF hosted children from Yasmine camp and generously contributed towards the Aman School for refugee children in August 2022.
One year later, tragedy struck on 12 August 2023, when a fire started in the camp and destroyed tents and belongings, leaving people who have already endured so much loss with absolutely nothing.
Your fundraising events will be a means of rebuilding their lives, Insha’Allah. AMA teams have been providing food, hygiene kits and emergency care, and will rebuild dignity tents to provide a home for these families.
